RENTALS

ART is happy to let riders explore the Great Allegheny Passage on their own and so rents its recumbent cycles for half day and full day trips for individuals, families and groups.

Our costs are comparable to the rental of regular "upright" bikes so try a recumbent bike - see the Great Allegheny Passage the easy way smooth and level.

THE TRIPS

Allegheny Recumbent Tours currently offers rentals as well as tours between Meyersdale, Confluence and Connellsville, Pennsylvania along the Great Allegheny Passage, with tour distances averaging 30 miles. Standard trips begin on Memorial Day and run through Labor Day. Special trips can be arranged with advanced notice. Rentals begin in late April & last as long as the good weather.

Tours include a guide, trail-snack and water, map and trail information, bike instruction and comfortable transportation back to the trail head after your ride. Our tours are reasonably priced and adaptable to individuals, families (13 and over please!), and groups. Our rental is hardly more expensive than the average bike rental and offers so much more! If you can ride a bike - you can ride a recumbent.

Special group tours can be arranged with appropriate notice. Recumbent tricycles are available for individuals with balance problems thanks to the Somerset County Tourism Grant Program.

Please contact us at 1-888-395-BIKE (2453) or jay@alleghenyrecumbentours.com and we would be happy to give you more information on how Allegheny Recumbent Tours can provide you, your family or group, with a day to remember in western Pennsylvania.

EACH TRIP INCLUDES:

  • Easy bike riding instruction
  • Map, water & trail refreshments
  • A beautiful gently descending
    trail for your ride
  • Transportation to and from the trail-head
